1. Privacy-Preserving View Tracking

TopBid tracks unique 24-hour views using cryptographically salted SHA-256 hashes (SHA256(IP + Date + Salt)). Raw IP addresses and user agent strings are never stored in our PostgreSQL database.

2. Open Redirect Protection

Click interactions are tracked securely using server-stored canonical URLs. TopBid never accepts arbitrary destination parameters, preventing open redirect abuse.

3. Cookies & Session Storage

TopBid uses minimal, secure HTTP-only cookies strictly required for user authentication and session management. No third-party tracking scripts or cross-site advertisement cookies are used.
